Student Agreement for Acutonics classes

Google Classroom Agreement and Tuition Refunds

I understand and agree that acceptance of the Google Classroom Invitation grants me access to Acutonics curriculum and renders paid tuition non-refundable and non-transferrable to other levels of Acutonics classes or other Acutonics teachers. Acceptance of invitation is defined as when student clicks on the google classroom link sent via email from the teacher and thus enables entry into the classroom. Students who register and pay tuition for on-line Acutonics classes and have accepted the invitation to the Google Classroom curriculum material are NOT eligible for ANY tuition refunds. If I (student) have accepted the invitation to the Google Classroom and cancel my class enrollment, I may attend that specific class, when and if, DFWA teaches it again in the future, without guarantee that the class will materialize during any specific time frame. Tuition is not transferable to other classes once I (student) have accepted the invitation into the Google Classroom for a specific on-line class.

Refund Tuition Agreement

  • I agree as a DFWA registered and tuition-paid student I may cancel enrollment for full refund if the teacher is notified 3 weeks (21 days) or more before class start date and I have not accepted the invitation into Google Classroom.
  • I agree as a DFWA tuition-paid student that I may cancel enrollment 20 to 8 days before the first day of class if I have not accepted the Google Classroom invitation and will receive a refund reflecting 65% of paid tuition costs.
  • I agree as a DFWA tuition-paid student that I may cancel enrollment within 7 to 0 days prior to the first day of class if I have not accepted the Google Classroom invitation and will be refunded no more than 35% of the paid tuition costs and the actual amount is at the teacher’s discretion.
  • Students who discontinue full attendance of an Acutonics class during the class period (3 day and 2 day classes) do not receive certification hours or acupuncture Continuing education credits or tuition refunds.

On-line Class Agreement

I agree to abide by the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine, LLC student requirements:

  • To behave in a professional and ethical manner, and respect the privacy, dignity, and sensitivity of everyone in the class,
  • To engage in classroom discussion without disrupting the learning process, be respectful of the community that is created within the online class: arriving on time and notifying my instructor, if for any reason I am not able to honor my commitment to be in the video classroom as scheduled.
  • To be respectful of the tools used in class recognizing that they are powerful healing tools,
  • Respect the nature of online learning, make class time a priority, find a quiet place to be online away from distractions that might be present in my home or office. mute microphone when not speaking, have video on to engage with other students and teachers when appropriate.
  • The DFWA format requires participation in distance Acutonics sessions during class via zoom breakout rooms so students can receive and send Acutonics. If you cannot participate in distance practicums for any reason, please Inform the Teacher in advance.
  • I understand and accept that this class has been adapted for on-line live video streaming and that the Teacher may require viewing of pre-recorded modules or review and reading of course material prior to the class. This course includes hands-on practicums that will be demonstrated and explored from the approach of self-care, treating a family member, or an opportunity to practice distance Acutonics.
  • I understand and agree that the course materials taught in this class are the exclusive intellectual property of the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine, LLC. and DFWA. I agree not to alter, share, teach or distribute in any form whatsoever any materials I receive from my teacher or the Acutonics Institute unless I am authorized to do so in writing from the Acutonics Institute and/or DFWA.
  • I acknowledge that this work is deeply transformational. I agree to be present and mindful of the energetics of the group, within an online learning environment, and to keep confidential any personal information that is shared within the class.
  • I authorize my Teacher, Mary Burke-Kelly, and/or the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine to record the class and to share the audio portion of the class at their discretion with other students. I also authorize the use of my image and/or audio, visual, or written comments about the class for educational and/or promotional purposes.
  • I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the Teacher if there are any existing conditions for which I am currently seeking medical support, or that may limit my participation in the class.
  • I agree to be contacted by DFWA or the Acutonics Institute by telephone, mail, or electronic mail to keep me informed about areas of interest relating to Acutonics.

Acutonics Tools On-line Class Requirements

I understand and agree that having the listed Acutonics tools for each on-line Acutonics class is a necessary component of learning the tool applications. I agree to rent or purchase the listed required tools for each specific on-line class, with the understanding that renting tools means I have not been required to buy tools to take the class. I agree not to substitute other brands of tuning forks during the Acutonics classes due to possible hertz and archetype differential results for other students and myself unless I have confirmed any equivalency with the teacher more than 2 weeks prior to first day of class. DFWA cannot guarantee efficacy results of any other brand or manufacturer of tuning forks that are taught in Acutonics classes.

Technology Requirements for On-line Classes

Students must have a computer or device capable of receiving and sending sound and video to fully participate in classes. Students must have internet access and technology capable of downloading & running the current class platform through Zoom meetings and ability to access, download or print from Google Classroom for written & video materials. While the Teacher is willing to meet the student via a zoom meeting several weeks before class to assist students who need help navigating Google Classroom or Zoom, DFWA is not required to troubleshoot or delay in-class time for any students who are technologically challenged or have hardware/software difficulties. Students agree to obtain and become familiar with the necessary technology on their own in plenty of time before the first day of class. If the student does not have access to the required technology to take the on-line class, do not enroll in the class. In this case, student needs to withdraw at least 21-14 days before class for a refund and not have entered the google classroom (clicked on it’s link). All assistance in navigation is done with 1 hour zoom meetings 21-14 days minimum to first day of class at the teacher’s discretion.

Effects of Acutonics Tools

DFWA is not responsible for any physical, emotional or mental reactions to Acutonics tools either during or outside of classes. Training in classes is highly recommended for using Acutonics tools effectively. DFWA is not responsible for students or other purchasers of Acutonics tools who do not use the tools in a responsible or effective manner.

Use of Acutonics Professional Titles after Class Completion

I understand and agree that upon successful completion of training, I may refer to myself as an Acutonics Student or that I may state on my website, marketing materials, and social media platforms which specific Acutonics® Classes I have taken and how many hours of Acutonics® Classes I have completed. I agree not to refer to myself as an Acutonics® Practitioner or by any other Acutonics title that is false or misleading. I acknowledge and agree that I may only refer to myself as a Certified Acutonics Practitioner, Associate Acutonics Practitioner or Acutonics Practitioner after I have successfully completed the Acutonics® Certification Program and these titles are granted to me only by the Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine. I understand that use of the word “Acutonics” requires a trademark symbol after it and the words: “Acutonics is registered trademark of The Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine, LLC” somewhere in your material as a footnote.

Class Tools Rental Agreement

Only paid tuition students of DFWA classes are eligible for tuning fork rentals to be used during on-line classes. Only tools necessary for on-line class practicums are available for rental. The available class rental tools are listed by class on the website rental page. Rentals are not available for students enrolled in other Acutonics teacher’s classes, to non-paid, non-enrolled students or any student not in good standing.

Rental contracts: renters must provide valid credit card information to be kept on file prior to shipping of class rental tools. Renters must provide a domestic USA address for tools to be mailed and received via United States Postal Service (no shipping to international addresses is available). Renters will be charged 50% of the current retail price for class rental tools as a deposit, plus shipping and insurance rates. Renters can choose to pay the deposit with various options: credit card, Venmo, email invoice via pay pal. Renters must arrange for tools no later than Monday 12 noon before a class in order to receive tools in time for a Friday start class. If a student waits too long to order the tuning forks, the renter agrees to pay additional expedited shipping expenses.

Rental tool Return

Two weeks after the end date of the DFWA online class, renters must either ship the rental tools back to the teacher at their own expense or make arrangements to purchase the tools with the teacher. When tools are received by DFWA, renters receive a refund representing the initial rental deposit minus a 15% restock fee that is based upon the current retail price of Acutonics tools. All credit card information on file is destroyed at the time of tool return. If the renter defaults on the return of the rented tools by the deadline (does not physically return the rented tools), DFWA will charge the credit card on file for the remaining 50% of the tool retail value.

Rent to Own

If the renter chooses to purchase the rented tools in “rent to own” status, the renter must notify DFWA by the same two-week deadline after the end date of the class. Renter must make arrangements to purchase the remaining portion of the rented tools and will be charged Acutonics retail price of the tools minus 10% discount that is afforded all DFWA students. Renters will be invoiced via email the remaining cost to own the tools they rented for class.

Condition of Rented Tools
Class rental tools may be lightly used in a previous on-line class or newly manufactured, unused tuning fork sets, depending on inventory. There is no guarantee renters will receive brand new Acutonics tools if they are renting. Renters who abuse or damage rented tools will have replacement costs deducted from their refund upon return and inspection of tools to DFWA.

Shipping and Delivery

At this time, DFWA ships merchandise to locations within the continental United States. DFWA does not ship merchandise to Canada and Mexico or other international locations. DFWA is not an international distributor for Acutonics tools. All online international students must have a domestic USA forwarding address to purchase or rent tools for classes or order tools from an Acutonics international distributor near their country when taking on-line classes. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.
